Is your city ready for a climate-neutral future?

As part of the Ready4NetZero project, we have prepared a guide for local authorities' representatives, that provides a comprehensive roadmap on how to effectively develop and implement local, long-term climate strategies. Additionally, as part of the project, we published a brochure that presents in-depth case studies from selected pilot cities that successfully embarked on the path to net-zero emissions. While the brochure focuses on real-world experiences, the guidebook provides structured guidance on planning, financing, and executing climate strategies, ensuring that local governments have the necessary framework to take action.

Net Zero Solutions: Case studies for a sustainable future

r4nz case studies

Brochure presents in-depth case studies from selected pilot cities that successfully embarked on the path to net-zero emissions. By showcasing practical solutions, innovative approaches, and lessons learned, it aims to inspire and guide other municipalities in their transition toward a sustainable future. The featured case studies highlight key aspects of climate action, including governance frameworks, participatory decision-making, financial mechanisms, and monitoring processes essential for effective strategy implementation.

Developing ambitious local long-term climate neutrality strategies

Ready4NetZero ENG 02

The publication provides a roadmap for cities to achieve climate neutrality through comprehensive Local Long-Term Climate Strategies (LLCS). It details best practices from cities like Kempten, Bydgoszcz, and Brașov, focusing on inclusive governance, community engagement, and sustainable financing. Kempten’s Climate Plan 2035 and Bydgoszcz’s SECAP showcase effective pathways to reduce emissions and foster renewable energy use. By promoting collaborative urban planning, innovative public participation methods, and green infrastructure, the guide encourages cities to lead Europe’s transition to climate-neutral, resilient urban spaces.
