The first Ready4NetZero webinar from a capacity building series, organized in mid-September 2023, hosted over 50 participants: city officials and municipal staff from Croatia, Hungary, Poland and Romania. Eager to debate the challenges that European municipalities are facing in their paths towards climate-neutral cities, participants engaged in dialogue with the guest speaker, Helmut Muthig, a certified physicist and Managing Director of an MBDA company, known for his expertise in dealing with Climate Changes and Energy Transition.

Financing Climate Transition

 21.11.2023

The second webinar was organized on 21nd of November 2023 and we hosted over 46 participants. The event had a highlight on the city of Zagreb and its financial strategy, in the light of their climate transition process. Another important topic on the agenda was the City of Zagreb's Energy Information Centre, a valuable resource for citizens seeking information on renewable energy sources.

Navigating Challenges in Citizen Participation for Climate Neutrality

 09.01.2024 The third webinar was organized on 9nd of January 2024 and we hosted over 70 participants.Featuring experienced speakers from three German municipalities, Landkreis Osnabrueck, Landkreis Ahrweiler and Kempten, this webinar offered an in-depth exploration of how participatory elements can be integrated in the development and implementation of long-term climate neutrality strategies. Our speakers shared their firsthand experiences, illuminating both the challenges and successes of engaging citizens in the journey towards a net-zero future.

This fifth webinar was organized on 20th of February 2024 and focused on efficient communication to involve the local communities in the common effort for climate action. Over 50 participants had the opportunity to learn how local authorities and citizens can work together to achieve Climate Neutrality, discussing the available instruments for implementing Climate Neutrality initiatives making them accessible and achievable for everyone.

Urban energy planning and the challenge of energy poverty

 12.03.2024

This sixth webinar was organized on 12th of March 2024 took a closer look on details of the implementation of local investments in energy production and energy efficiency based on the example of Bydgoszcz.  More than 50 participants had the opportunity to learn how local authorities and citizens can improve efforts to achieve climate neutrality, discussing examples implemented by the Energy Management team at Bydgoszcz City Hall.
